Panchsheel Greens’ residents paid homage to freedom fighters

Residents of Panchsheel Greens, a high-rise housing society in Greater Noida West, paid homage to freedom fighters on the eve of Independence Day on August 14, 2023. The event was organized by the society’s AoA and was attended by over 200 residents including women, kids, and elders.

A large number of residents of the society gathered in the podium park and sang patriotic songs and lit candles in the park to pay their respects to the martyrs who fought for India’s independence.

Some senior citizens and women spoke about the importance of Independence Day and urged the residents to remember the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters.

The program also witnessed a few activities by elders and the children of the society. They sang patriotic songs and danced to patriotic tunes. The event concluded with the lighting of candles in the podium park. The residents stood in silence for a few minutes as a mark of respect for the martyrs. Many residents were seen taking selfies with tricolour.

The event helped to instill a sense of patriotism among the residents of Panchsheel Greens. It also brought the community together and reminded them of the importance of Independence Day.

The society will witness a bigger event on August 15 at the basketball court. The national flag will be unfurled at about 9 AM followed by a number of performances by kids who will sing, dance, and act and celebrate the freedom of India.
