Russia says it shot down 44 Ukrainian drones

The Russian defence ministry claims their Air defence facilities have shot down 44 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles

Russia has recently announced that they have successfully prevented several Ukrainian attempts to attack the country with drones.

Since the start of the war, Ukraine has fought to defend territories but recently new war strategies are being applied to put pressure on the Russian side. It is no longer a war where Russia attacks and Ukraine defends. The Ukrainian army is not launching drone attacks on Russian territories and appears to have got success in reclaiming some key grounds.

According to the Russian defence ministry, Air defense facilities have shot down 44 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles close to Tavolzhanka (Kharkiv region), Zaliman, Rubezhnoye, Kremennaya, Raigorodka (Lugansk People’s Republic), Sladkoye, Staromikhailovka (Donetsk People’s Republic), Shevchenkovo, Dolinka, Trudovoye, Novopokrovka, Mirnoye (Zaporozhye region), Staraya Zburyevka and Novaya Kakhovka (Kherson region).

The ministry further claims that total 457 airplanes, 245 helicopters, 5,358 unmanned aerial vehicles, 427 air defense missile systems, 11,029 tanks, and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,140 fighting vehicles equipped with MLRS, 5,661 field artillery cannons, mortars, as well as 11,971 special military motor vehicles have been destroyed during the special military operation.
