India cruised to a 33-run victory over Ireland in the second Twenty20 International in Dublin on Sunday, taking an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

Batting first, India posted a challenging 185 for 5, thanks to an unbeaten 58 off 42 balls from Ruturaj Gaikwad and a quickfire 38 off 21 balls from Rinku Singh.

In reply, Ireland were never in the hunt and were bowled out for 152 in 19.2 overs.

Jasprit Bumrah was the pick of the Indian bowlers, taking 2 for 15, while Ravi Bishnoi and Prasidh Krishna picked up two wickets apiece.

The win was a clinical performance from India, who once again showed their dominance in the shortest format of the game.

Gaikwad was the star of the show with the bat, hitting six fours and two sixes in his 42-ball knock. He was well supported by Singh, who scored 38 off just 21 balls, including two sixes and three fours.

The Indian bowlers then did their job with the ball, restricting Ireland to a below-par score. Bumrah was the most economical bowler, giving away just 15 runs in his four overs.

With the win, India have taken an unassailable lead in the series and will be looking to complete a whitewash in the third and final T20I on Tuesday.

The match was played at Malahide Cricket Club in Dublin, Ireland. The next match will be played on August 23 at the same venue.
