Former India Test captain and legendary spinner Bishan Singh Bedi dies at the age of 77 due to multiple and prolonged illness. Bedi, an iconic figure in Indian cricket, left an indelible mark on the sport with his exceptional skills and passion for the game. Born on September 25, 1946, in Amritsar, Punjab, Bedi’s journey in cricket began at an early age, displaying extraordinary talent as a left-arm spinner.

His international career spanned from 1966 to 1979, during which he donned the Indian jersey in 67 Test matches. Renowned for his impeccable bowling technique and subtle variations, he secured a remarkable tally of 266 wickets.
