The Congress party leader Rahul Gandhi has condemned the incident that came to light through a viral video where a school teacher can be seen asking students to slap a boy from a minority community. Since this incident came to light, many politicians have reacted to this viral video and expressed concerns about whether such incidents should be justified politically.

The incident led to heated arguments between the Congress and the BJP members. Congress said that the BJP is responsible for creating such an atmosphere where such incidents are encouraged whereas the BJP accused the Congress of giving a communal angle to this incident.

Rahul Gandhi writes on X in Hindi, “Sowing the poison of discrimination in the minds of innocent children, turning a holy place like school into a marketplace of hatred – nothing worse a teacher can do for the country. This is the same kerosene spread by the BJP which has set every corner of India on fire. Children are the future of India – do not hate them, we all have to teach love together.”

BJP said that this incident has nothing to do with Hindu-Muslim and the same is denied by the father of the kid who was slapped at Muzaffarnagar school

Reacting to this video, BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya wrote on X, “The incident of one student getting beaten up by another student in Muzaffarnagar is very sad. This type of system cannot be accepted in any school. But the child’s father is saying that there is no issue of Hindu-Muslim in this. Those who have become Amma and Abba of that child on social media since yesterday and are actively engaged in giving communal color to this matter, they should pay attention to this. By the way, the people who give communal color to an uncomfortable incident are the same who keep silence on the incidents of Hindu children being humiliated for applying Tilak or tying Kalava in schools! Only people with such double standards run the ‘Hate Shop’ in our society.”

Meanwhile, the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has ordered the SSP of Muzaffarnagar to investigate and file an FIR against the teacher who instructed children in her classroom to hit a student, one by one. The commission has also asked SSP to submit a report on the action taken within a week’s time.

Justifying her action, the private teacher said that she asked other students to slap the minority community boy as she is handicapped and the child’s uncle asked her to do that.

The video of the incident went viral on social media and led to political outcry.
