Manipur continues to remain tense as a fresh round of clashes were reported on Thursday. The latest reports suggest clashes between the Meitei and Kuki communities in Bishnupur district.

The army and RAF personnel have been deployed to control the situation, and a curfew has been imposed in the Imphal Valley. The administration has also withdrawn the curfew relaxation to ensure the safety of people, restrictions will be imposed on day and night now considering the tense situation.

More than 15 people have been injured and some are injured in the violence. The government has appealed for calm. The violence has raised concerns about the security situation in Manipur, which is already home to a number of armed groups.

The state government has said that it is taking steps to address the underlying causes of the violence, including land disputes and political marginalization.

The situation in Manipur remains tense, and it is unclear when the violence will end. The government authorities are working to restore peace and order, but it will take time to heal the wounds that have been caused.

According to reports, more than 140 people died in Manipur between May to July. Imphal East and West have witnessed the majority of casualties. Over 50,000 people have been displaced and living in various relief camps set up by the state and central govt authorities. Nearly 6,000 FIRs have been registered and around over 150 people are arrested.

Earlier, a nationwide protest was seen after a viral video was circulated on social media channels where two women were paraded naked in the violence-hit state.
