Residents of La Residentia protest against builder in UP’s Greater Noida West

Residents of La Residentia society in Greater Noida West today protested against the builder for not delivering the basic amenities despite repeated follow-ups. Residents gathered in large numbers outside the sales office in the society and launched their protest for not getting a resolution to their problems.

More than 100 people joined the protest on Sunday and requested the Greater Noida Police to take strict against the builder for failing his promises.

Residents informed the media that despite conveying issues related to maintenance and other related problems within the society the builder paid no attention to their problems.

Security is one of the key issues residents feel is not up to the market because of which thefts have taken place in the society. Bike theft and stray dogs are some of the issues that were highlighted by the residents of La Residentia society in Greater Noida West.

Here are some of the key issues that people living in several high-rise societies of Greater Noia West face and protest against regularly.

Maintenance issues: High-rise societies require regular maintenance. This is especially true for older societies. However, many societies still do not have proper maintenance happening
Security concerns: Societies where construction work is still going on or outside staff and vendors regularly enter lead to the society security getting compromised. Some theft cases and other illegal activities have been reported by residents.
Lack of parking: Limited parking space leads to many problems and fights which we have recently seen in some societies. It is a major inconvenience for residents and their guests.
Garbage disposal: High-rise societies generate a lot of garbage. Greater Noida West societies often post through their X accounts about the garbage not properly being disposed of. This leads to foul odors and other problems.
Water shortage: Some societies have also faced water issues, especially during the summer.
Power outages: During the summer when the air conditioning is running, insufficient power backup leads to power supply disruptions.
