Crossings Republik in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh face heavy traffic

Every day thousands of vehicles pass through the narrow lane of Crossings Republik to reach their homes while others stop by to shop for furniture and other household items. This is an important hub for many residents of nearby society as you will get everything you need for your house in this market that too at affordable rates if you can bargain.

Lalit lives in Crossings Republik, a popular residential township in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, and travels every day through heavy traffic in the narrow lane that wastes his time and energy. He always finds it challenging to drive through this crowded road that gets narrower as you approach Crossings Republik from Ek Murti Chowk at Greater Noida West. One of the key problems is that many dividers in this narrow lane have been broken by locals to pass through roads to travel across roads which leads to traffic jams.

Many officegoers face this trauma almost every day. A real estate township that was supposed to be an example for Delhi NCR with all modern amenities in one place has now turned into a nightmare for people who travel through this narrow lane to reach their housing societies in Crossing Republik. Some people want to sell their flats to move to other locations to avoid these traffic snarls while others are stuck as their property is not able to sell.

Nikhil Sharma says, “Whenever land is under construction and big housing societies are to be built and sold, authorities will do everything and so will developers. But, once the properties are fully sold, neither authorities nor builders will pay heed to your problems of residents.”

“They are developing in areas and inviting developers to build big housing societies but are they addressing common issues like traffic management, good roads, water facilities, electricity, and overall management of these sectors? When you come here as buyers, they will present the best picture but once you give your money, you are trapped in these buildings. You can move out as your housing loan is going and you will have to tolerate everything.”

The rapid growth of commercial shops and markets around Crossing Republik has also led to a number of problems, including traffic congestion.

There are a number of factors that contribute to the traffic jam issue in Crossings Republik. One factor is the narrow roads. Many of the roads in the township are not wide enough to handle the volume of traffic, especially during peak hours. Another factor is the lack of alternative routes. There are only a few major roads that connect Crossings Republik to the rest of Ghaziabad, and these roads are often congested.

The traffic jam issue in Crossings Republik is a major inconvenience for residents. It can take hours to commute to and from work or school. The traffic jams also contribute to air pollution and noise pollution.

This area falls under the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA). However, despite so many people facing traffic issues, this problem still remains. Till a solution is found, residents of Crossings Republik will continue to deal with the inconvenience and frustration of traffic jams. They are helpless as they bought homes on loans and now they are trapped in everyday traffic jams.
