A viral video from Ghaziabad shows woman assaulting old man
Ghaziabad woman was seen hitting an old man in a viral video over fight for feeding stray dog.
A viral video from UP Ghaziabad has brought to the notice of Ghaziabad police where a young lady was seen attacking and abusing a 79-year-old man in a high-rise society at Crossing Republik. The dispute occurred when the elderly man asked the lady to feed a stray dog at another location.
A video of this incident is now viral on social media. The old man has reported the incident to the city police after which a complaint has been registered. Police will now probe the matter and take action accordingly.
In June, a horrific incident came to light from Crossing Republik where a seven-year-old boy was severely mauled by a pit bull dog when the former was playing in the common area of the society.
Recently many such incidents of dog bites and attacks on young and old people have been reported in the city. After that, some societies of Ghaziabad, Noida, and Greater Noida have drafted bylaws to ensure pet owners only feed dogs at certain locations and keep their dogs away from kids’ play areas, and do not use lifts when others are inside them.
Pet lovers on the other hand are of the view that dogs never bite humans until they are provoked or suffering from some ailments which can be detected only after medical help. Many stray dogs enter these high-rise societies in search of food and make them their homes.
UP has recently formulated some guidelines and a new set of dos and don’ts for pet owners to address issues of dogs’ registration, feeding points, vaccination, etc.
