Wildlife Week 2023 to be celebrated from 2-8 October
The wildlife week was started with floral tribute for animals died in the National Zoological Park in New Delhi.
On the theme of UN World Wildlife Day 2023 and to honour wildlife conservation activities, the National Zoological Park in Delhi has kick-started the celebration of 69th Wildlife Week with the theme “Partnerships for wildlife conservation”, honouring the people who are making a difference.

The activities planned for the week at National Zoological Park aim at using inclusive and collective participation for the conservation cause. The Wildlife Week – 2023 will be celebrated from 2-8 October.
The programme was started on Monday with a floral tribute for animals who died in the National Zoological Park. After these activities were inaugurated with the lightning of lamp by the dignitaries Bivash Ranjan, ADG (WL), MoEF&CC, Sanjay Shukla, Member Secretary Central Zoo, and Dr. Faiyaz A. Khudsar, Biodiversity Expert, University of Delhi. Awareness activities like Nukkad Natak, expert talk on Biodiversity, video on mission LiFE and pledge were organized.
Students and zoo staff have shown enthusiasm till the end of the programme. The goal of arranging this activity at the National Zoological Park was to create awareness about wildlife, and biodiversity and promote the concept of Lifestyle for the Environment by staying close to nature.
Souvenir and participation certificates were also distributed to all participating students.
