The eight new stations along the extended route are Botanical Garden, Noida Sector 44, Noida Office, Noida Sector 97, Noida Sector 105, Noida Sector 108, Noida Sector 93, and Panchsheel Balak Inter College. These stations will cater to the diverse needs of residents, commuters, and businesses in the surrounding areas.
With an estimated cost of Rs 2,254.35 crore, the project is expected to bring about a transformative impact on the region’s transportation landscape. Commuters will benefit from reduced travel time, improved accessibility, and a more comfortable travel experience. Additionally, the project is anticipated to stimulate economic growth and development in the areas along the extended route.
According to experts, this initiative will greatly benefit commuters traveling between Noida-Greater Noida and Delhi in both directions. It will enhance connectivity for residents of Noida and Greater Noida and integrate them more seamlessly into the Delhi Metro network.
The DPR for the 11.5-km Metro extension corridor was meticulously prepared by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and recently submitted to NMRC. Upon receiving the necessary approvals, the project is poised to commence and contribute to the overall development of the NCR.
The proposed extension of the Aqua Line Metro corridor represents a pivotal step towards enhancing connectivity and fostering sustainable growth within the NCR. This ambitious project, driven by the vision of NMRC, will undoubtedly transform the region’s transportation landscape, benefiting commuters, businesses, and residents alike.
