Shooting Accident

The accident occurred early this morning around 4:45 a.m., when Govinda was preparing to leave for the airport to catch a flight to Kolkata. His manager, Shashi Sinha, revealed that the mishap took place while Govinda was handling his licensed revolver. He was reportedly putting the firearm back in a cupboard when it slipped from his hands, hit the floor, and discharged. The bullet struck him below the knee.

Sinha further explained that Govinda immediately called his wife, Sunita Ahuja, who was in Kolkata at the time, as well as his manager, informing them of the accident. “Govinda ji remained calm and composed despite the shock of being hit by the bullet,” Sinha said. The actor’s presence of mind and quick response ensured that help arrived swiftly.

Soon after the call, police officers arrived at Govinda’s Juhu residence and transported him to Criticare Hospital, which is located nearby. The medical team wasted no time in treating the injury, performing a procedure to safely extract the bullet. Thankfully, the wound, though alarming, was not severe, and doctors have since confirmed that Govinda’s condition is stable. His daughter Tina is currently by his side at the hospital, providing comfort and support.
