Allu Arjun came at the premier of his superhit film Pushpa 2: The rise. According to the police, there were no sufficient facilities to manage the crowd and when the actor came out through the sunroof of his car the crowd came closer to see the actor. This led to a stampede-like situation due to which the deceased woman felt suffocated and got injured along with her son. Despite efforts by the people at the theatre the life of the woman could not be saved.

The actor was arrested by Hyderabad police after an FIR was filed against him for culpable homicide and negligence, but he was released on interim bail after his lawyers approached the Hyderabad High Court and contested that Allu Arjun had no direct role in the incident.

While the police say that the actor did not seek permission, Allu Arjun’s team says that the permission was sought and even the assistant commissioner has signed it. The bail was granted on the bond of Rs 50,000.

Immediately after the release, Allu Arjun came in public and apologised for the incident, saying that it was out of his control and that he felt sorry for what had happened. The actor said that he always came to see movies at that theatre, not just his own movies but other movies as well.

Earlier this, the actor announced a compensation of Rs 25 lakh to the family of the deceased woman and her injured son and said that he would extend any help that would be needed but at the same time Allu Arjun said that the loss cannot be compensated.

Allu Arjun thanked his fans saying that he is fine. He said that he is a law-abiding citizen and will do everything possible to cooperate with the law enforcement agencies.

If reports are to be believed then Allu Arjun got about Rs 300 crores for his movie Pushpa 2: The Rise. The first part Puspha was a superhit and part 2 already crossed the Rs 750 crore mark, becoming the highest-grossing Indian movie of 2024.
